Our Story
a dream in the making
The Rising Action
Hi! My name is Jen - I am mom to four almost-grown kids and two pups, an entrepreneur, and avid learner. I hold a degree in Business, and I have worn many business hats over the years. But, my passion really lies in creative areas like writing, photography, art and design. One of my favorite adventures was illustrating a children’s book written by a local author. This lit a fire inside me to find my unique creative space in the world.
The Plot Thickens
During my last few years as an entrepreneur, I met many fellow business owners who struggled with their online social marketing. This was usually due to either lack of time or a lack of confidence in their own creative abilities (or some just plain didn’t like it). I started to formulate a vision of being able to help my friends and others in the small business realm, while doing something I absolutely love.
The Resolution
I decided to create digital designs for others, so that they could concentrate on their real passion - their actual business. I knew that I needed to incorporate three important principals, however. I wanted my products to be niche specific, simple to edit, and lastly, affordable.
And so….Helpful By Design was born. I can’t wait to help you find more time to pursue your true passion, while I pursue mine!
